Leeds wins ‘Paperlite Project of the Year’

The work at Leeds has reported financial benefits of over £2.3 million and reduced the use of paper in several functional areas of the Trust, including inventory management, order and invoice processing and product safety recalls.

Every single space in the organisation – across seven hospital sites providing primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare to an urban and rural population of over five million people – is now identified with a GS1 Global Location Number (GLN). Similarly, all inpatients are identified through a GS1 Global Service Relation Number (GSRN) on their wristband, enabling clinicians to scan and link to a GLN, enabling accurate patient tracking across the Trust.

Congratulations to Leeds!
